Citizens for Health Endorses KeepSupplementsClean.org

The consumer advocacy group Citizens for Health (CFH) is urging its 100,000 members to visit Silver Spring, MD’s American Herbal Products Association’s (AHPA) website KeepSupplementsClean.org. The group is promoting the site as an educational resource to help consumers avoid tainted products being sold as dietary supplements, marking the first time that the website has been endorsed by a consumer health organization. The website was created to support efforts by FDA and the dietary supplements industry to address public health problems posed by products illegally marketed as dietary supplements. The website offers current information on tainted products and identifies the product categories that are most susceptible to adulteration.
